For parents
If you’re concerned that your child may have a learning difficulty, whether it’s a specific problem or just a suspected one, but you’re unsure what to do, please get in touch.
This can be very difficult and worrying to cope with, but it’s important to remember that you are not alone. We’re always happy to spend time listening to your concerns. We want to know how your child functions, what they excel in and understand, and what makes them happy. Above all, we want to understand exactly what your child needs to give them the confidence and skills to re-engage with learning.
We believe in working in a positive partnership with your child, in a way that suits them and makes them happy, whilst addressing their needs and giving them a true sense of achievement.
Below are some of the therapies we offer:
Therapies
“Over the course of the training we have noticed significant improvements with our son. Our son was beginning to improve his short term memory and concentration. His other behaviours also began to noticeably improve as well…”
– THE V. FAMILY
“Not only am I able to follow a novel I am reading, I am able to figure out which character did what, and recall and retrieve information (something I was incapable of doing before)”
- MONA, ADULT FROM BIRMINGHAM
“My son’s eye contact has increased, he is making sounds and has even mastered to clap. This has been such a big milestone for my son and we are so pleased with the progress. We are still in the middle of the safe and sound protocol so I am sure we are yet to see further changes. I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to have the support from Usha at Raviv Practice London”
– FATIMA
“Since that Two-day-training in November 2017, I have been working everyday with my son doing Bal-A-Vis-X, it is one of the only things he agrees to do. We have also attended many practise sessions in small groups in London. These practise sessions helped build my knowledge base further. My husband and I have felt it has given our family a respite from a very hyper-active child who continually pushed us to the edge to someone able to stop, listen and learn.”
– NATALIE, SEBASTIAN’S MUM
“ It has been very challenging at times, but she has been a real asset towards the fantastic progress he continues to makes. I am cannot recommend her services high enough her passion, dedication, hard work and commitment towards the people she helps is evident and would encourage anyone looking for help as I did to go for it, because you wouldn’t regret it.”
– SHERENE JEAN-CHARLES
“It was at my lowest point in my most recent role that I looked up Raviv Method
practitioners in London. My brother, who is two years younger than me and, I would say, a *worse* dyslexic, underwent the Raviv Method at the age of six. According to my parents, his development came on leaps and bounds as a result. I am incredibly proud that he achieved a First in his degree at Durham and has gone into a career as a trainee Investment Manager, which he is brilliant at”
– CHARLOTTE
“James', has completed the SSP therapy two times and will
continue to return to it every six months to eight for a top-up. As parents, we
have noticed the mornings significantly less stressful, and tummy aches have
more or less evaporated”
— JAMES’ FATHER, EALING
“My instinct is that the SSP Therapy has had a positive effect and is continuing to
unfold. I am mindful of speaking in light, friendly, modulated tones and meeting his signals for social engagement.”
— PARENT , CAMBRIDGE.
“We could not have done this alone without the support, and the fully coached package was the best option for our success. As Scarlet's working memory improved, the sessions became shorter; she could remember more information with less effort and stress”
— SCARLET’S FATHER
“I have no doubt the ‘glitches’ that Ethan suffers from have been worked through with the FastForword programme. It has moved him on significantly and there is no worthy alternative”
— ETHAN’S MUM, WATFORD
“He enjoys it so much that he has begun to teach his younger brother some Bal-A-Vis-X and his coordination is starting to flow”
— STEVIE’S MUM
“We noticed a marked change at around 10 weeks and it was inconceivable before this that my son would ever grasp the idea of adding up simple sums let alone do his times tables.”
— MANDEEP
“We all thank Usha for being understanding, innovative and patient and providing a method which has worked for Charlotte and given her a solid foundation for her to move forward from”
— CHARLOTTE’S PARENTS
“Clare’s relationship with Usha has been very positive from the beginning. At no time was she made to feel that she could not achieve and over the period of time spent with Usha, Clare’s confidence has been raised to new heights”
— ROSE
“My son’s reading has gone up two grades at school and his spelling has also improved”
— NAHEED (paraphrased)
“I have watched my son develop his coordination & organisation skills at a very satisfactory rate.”
— ESTA
“Since working with Usha, my son has improved in many areas of his ability to work – his focus and concentration, his interest and keenness to succeed, and his academic results. But best of all, I know how to help him learn in a way which is most effective for him.”
— TANIA
“I will be recommending this method to other parents who need help for their children with learning difficulties”
— NAHEED
“The biggest improvement I have seen in my son is his handwriting and reading skills, he loves to do both”
— WENDY
